James Devonish
James is a founding director of Devonish Harris & Henderson. James is a leading dispute resolution and insolvency lawyer, practising in all aspects of commercial disputes, insolvency and recoveries. He was Recommended in Doyle’s Guide as a Leading Insolvency and Restructuring Lawyer in South Australia in 2023 and 2021.
James regularly appears in court as Counsel in a number of different jurisdictions across Australia. Recognised as an industry expert on the PPSA, James is a professional member of Australian Restructuring Insolvency and Turnaround Association (ARITA) and currently sits on the ARITA SA/NT committee. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Credit Management (AICM) and former member of the Law Society of South Australia’s Civil Litigation Committee.
James regularly presents seminars for the AICM and other industry bodies. He has also presented for the Law Society of South Australia on the topic of debt recovery litigation, as part of its specialist education programme.

Briana Harris
Briana is a founding director of Devonish Harris & Henderson. Briana is a highly accomplished legal professional with a diverse background and a passion for delivering exceptional outcomes for her clients. Briana graduated with a Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice from Flinders University (South Australia) and is admitted to practice law in South Australia as well as the High Court. Briana has also completed a Masters of Law (International Law and International Relations).
Specialising in credit management, commercial litigation, debt recovery, and corporate/personal insolvency law, Briana brings a wealth of experience to the table. Her approach is distinguished by a strong emphasis on cultivating meaningful client relationships, ensuring that she not only meets but exceeds their expectations. Briana is committed to delivering outcomes that are not only legally sound but also commercially advantageous for her clients.
In 2020, Briana's expertise and contributions to the field of credit management were formally recognised as she was awarded the distinguished title of South Australian Young Credit Professional of the Year.

Cameron Henderson
Cameron is a founding director of Devonish Harris & Henderson. He practises primarily in commercial litigation, corporate and personal insolvency, along with debt recovery (with a specialisation in government recoveries). He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of South Australia and is qualified to practice in State and Federal Courts in Australia. Cameron holds an Advanced Certificate in Insolvency from the Australian Restructuring and Insolvency Turnaround Association and the University of Technology Sydney.
Prior to becoming a director of Devonish Harris & Henderson, Cameron worked for the South Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a leading Adelaide commercial law firm, as a Ministerial adviser to the South Australian Government and for a national firm as part of a publicly listed collection agency. Cameron uses his diverse experience across industry, legal and strategic Government roles to provide clients with clear advice and to achieve commercial outcomes to disputes.
In addition, Cameron is on Civil Litigation Committee and Young Lawyers Committee of the Law Society of SA, is a business Career Mentor at the University of South Australia and serves on the board of the Adelaide Business Hub in Port Adelaide. He was the Australian Institute of Credit Management’s Young Credit Professional of the Year (SA) Award in 2021.
